With all that we see going on around us, all of us are certain of one thing – that the return of our Lord Jesus, as King of kings and Lord of lords, is very, very near!

Having a knowledge of this truth, what manner of life does God expect us to live?

“…denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ..” Titus 2:12-14

God desires for us to live a holy life above all things. One story which I often think about is the story of Mary and Martha. Martha was busy working ‘for’ the Lord. Mary was simply sitting at his feet. Jesus gently chided Martha and reminded her what was ‘more’ important.

The more we sit at his feet, the more we are cleansed of all the sin that dwells inside of us; the more we are cleansed, the more we are useful for God’s purposes.

Our Lord is coming back for a spotless and blameless bride. Oh, let our hearts cry out for Holiness more than anything!
