The Final Quest-Book Review

I’m not a voracious reader, but I enjoy reading. One of the books that I enjoyed thoroughly is the book, ‘The Final Quest’, by Rick Joyner.

The book is very similar to Pilgrims Progress by John Bunyan, but it is slightly different, because it is a series of revelations that the author had, with respect to the last days’ battle between the Sons of Light and the Hordes of Darkness.

There has always been a battle between Children of Light and the Kingdom of Darkness, so the obvious question is Why would the battle be any different in the last days?

True that there has always been a battle, but in these final days of Satan’s time on Earth, he is going to come down upon the church in great wrath because he knows his time is getting shorter and shorter. (Rev 12:12)

Jesus Himself said that in the end of age, Satan will try to even deceive the elect, if that were possible. (Matt 24:24). So quite evidently, the battle is going to be very intense that the enemy is all-out-to-war to cause even the elect to stumble, if he can!

And we the Church, need to be not just prepared, but also be a diligent student of the scriptures to see through the enemy’s schemes, and also be equally equipped to cast down any evil scheme, that is possibly disguised as “righteousness”.

“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” 2 Cor 2:11

One of the words which Jesus used often with reference to the end of the age was, “Do not be deceived”. That tells us that Deception is definitely coming. And we’ve got to be equipped with all our armory in place.

This book, ‘The Final Quest’, I would say, helped me gain a deeper understanding of the reality that goes on behind every spiritual battle – be it a personal battle, or a family battle or a community level (church) battle. Also, What God expects from us and how the enemy tries every possible way in his capacity, to cause us to stumble in our walk with God.

But thanks be to God, who has not left us defenseless, but given us a variety of weapons to fight the enemy but the author goes on to say that very rarely, the child of God doth use it!

Excerpts from the book:

I saw a demonic army so large that it stretched as far as I could see. It was separated into divisions, with each carrying a different banner. The foremost and most powerful divisions were Pride, Self righteousness, Respectability, Selfish Ambition, and Unrighteous Judgment, but the largest of all was Jealousy. The leader of this vast army was the Accuser of the Brethren himself.

The weapons carried by this horde had names on them: the swords were named Intimidation; the spears were named Treachery; and their arrows were named Accusations, Gossip, Slander and Faultfinding.

Scouts and smaller companies of demons with such names as Rejection, Bitterness, Impatience, Un-forgiveness and Lust were sent in advance of this army to prepare for the main attack. I knew in my heart that the church had never faced anything like this before.

End of Excerpt.

I highly recommend the book! You won’t regret reading it. Hands down one of the best books I’ve read. I definitely would give it a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟.

I was able to find a free download of the book. Here’s the link to the PDF file, guys.
