Several years ago, (if I am not mistaken I think it was before Jaden was born) Jeev and I had a conversation. It was something about the planets and the sun. I don’t remember what the conversation was exactly about, but I was trying to prove to Jeev that the Sun does not move about, but rather, it was just the planets that went around the Sun. He was arguing that the Sun definitely was making an orbit. I didn’t agree.

Neither of us cared to Google….it was just one of those childish arguments which happens every other day in our home!

But that night I was quite taken aback to find that the Sun indeed made a circuit from one end to another. I learned it not from Google- but from the Bible.

“In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun. It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course. It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is deprived of its warmth.” Psalm 19:4,5,6.

I was astounded to say the least. Not about the fact that the Sun moved, but about the fact that God cared enough to step into our conversation and clear things out….like a loving friend!!! I was reminded of a scripture: “Then those who feared the LORD talked with each other, and the LORD listened and heard.” Malachi 3:16.

Sometimes, when I go to pick up Jaden from school, the traffic is kinda overwhelming. Not that it is heavy, but when I see all the traffic and the people, I can’t help but wonder in awe. Who am I amidst all this crowd, I ponder! Lesser than a speck of dust…a fleeting shadow of no substance.

Yet to think that the Master of this Universe cares enough to answer your silliest of questions, makes Him incomparable!!! A loving, gracious, awesome Father in Christ we serve!!!
