A Father’s heart!

Jaden is 8, and enjoys playing his games on the iPad. He always enjoyed the iPad, but these days he plays with such a zeal, and is relentless until he goes up to the next level.

For the last one month or so, he had been asking me to buy him a new game. I told him to finish 40 levels in a particular game and then maybe he could ask his dad to buy him another one. He worked really hard and managed to finish all the 40 levels.

Yesterday, he came again and asked if he could have the new game coz he had finished all 40 levels! I told him to ask his dad. When his dad got back from work, Jaden went to Jeev to ask him to buy him some coins and gems so that he could use it to buy the new game. Jaden asked for the $5 package. Jeev wanting to play around with him, said, “I’ll get you gems for $3, coz $5 is too much!”. Jeev and I were watching his expressions.

We could tell from his face how badly he wanted to buy the $5 package. He had been working for a whole month to get it. But when his dad told him he could only get him a $3 package, as hard as it was for him to agree, he agreed, with his countenance almost about to burst forth in tears. Trust me, both our hearts sank! Of course, Daddy went on to buy him what he asked for and delighted his little boy!

Jaden didn’t cry. It was just that his countenance fell, coz his little heart was broken. N’ Daddy n’ Mommy couldn’t bear the sight of it!

How much more our Father in Heaven! Our countenance matters to our God! The Lord who is full of compassion wants to bring delight to your heart and mine! He makes all things beautiful in His time!

“Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God”. Psalm 43:5

Blessed day everyone!
