My maternal uncle, Mr Christopher D. Sam, whom we affectionately call mama, is a man whom I know to be a man after God’s own heart. And some of his experiences with the Lord, has brought about much faith in me, I must say!!! This was one of his experiences:

It was his early days with World Vision Organization. He had much traveling to do. World Vision, is an organization which works on sponsorship of the underprivileged kids. This particular incident happened on his tour to Bihar. My grandma who was then in Tirunelveli was praying for her son, that he should be safe and protected. He landed the little village when the sun had set and it was getting dark. He could not find anyone in the vicinity to ask for direction either. So he started walking.

He walked a while and it began to get dark. Not much light and he did’nt know where to go. It was sort of a deserted place. Just then a man came by his side and asked him where he needs to go. When mama told him briefly where he needed to go, the man said that this was not a safe place and that too, that late in the night. He walked mama a little while and then pointed to a little hut with a light and told him that’s where he needs to go. Mama was glad and wanted to give him some money. Mama turned to reach for his wallet to get his money to thank the man. When he turned to give the money, he saw no one. No one in the vicinity at all. He then, knelt down right there and thanked the Lord for his guidance and protection.

I ask Mom to tell me this story now and then coz it not only boosts my faith but assures me that God sends his angels to protect his loved ones even in the most remote area. Jesus never fails to protect, guide, comfort, encourage, save, embrace his loved ones.

“For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;” Psalm 91:1

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13

There is only one name under heaven to which angels respond. And that’s the name of Jesus. JESUS NEVER FAILS!!!!
