Jan 19^th was the due date given. And as the big day was approaching, there were days when I would sit still imagining the worst that could happen during childbirth. Few other days, I would bug my hubby verbalizing my fears. From the time I conceived, I tell you I was crazy scared!!!

I have always believed that God loves me but somewhere deep down I have always wished for a supernatural experience with God. My mom, my hubby and I were in the labour room, waiting eagerly for our baby. I was sorta in mixed emotions. I told my Mom, “I wish Jesus was here in person mummy.” Mum replied, “Var, don’t worry, He surely is here”.

Every minute was passing by so fast and doctors and nurses were walking in and out frantically…… I was given an oxygen mask…. things seemed rather strange. It wasn’t too long before a nurse came in and spoke to me. She said that things were not going right and that they might have to go into a C-section if needed be. That was the point that I freaked out. All the nurses and doctors had gone out for a brief moment. The room was empty. Just my mom, Jeev and I. I stretched out my hand to my husband and asked for his hand. We held our hands and prayed, “Dear Lord, our daddy, we have none to help but you”.

It was a simple prayer but my heart was filled with Faith….. faith that my daddy would surely do something. We just had said ‘Amen’, and turned to see a wave of people walking in. And in came my Doctor. Dr Kumari. She briefly checked the records and checked me. She said, “the baby will be out in 10 to 15 minutes. Get the things ready for the baby.” No C-section…. No complication.

My heart leaped and pounced with Joy that tears were just inevitable. If I were to give a name to the incident, I’d name it, “the two minute miracle”. There are certain things in life that are beyond the control of human hands and wisdom. Those are the moments when we desperately look for someone bigger than us. When our heart searches for Him and calls out the wonderful name of Jesus, though our eyes may not see Him, His presence is surely felt.

Our God is an awesome God
He reigns from heaven above
With wisdom power and love
our God is an awesome God!!!
