Hail Ruth!!!

Ruth had no clue that her name would appear in God’s Holy word. Ruth had no intentions that a book in the Bible will be named after her. Ruth had no clue that she would be in the lineage to bear the Son of the Most High God, despite the fact that she was not even a Jew!!! She was an ordinary woman. Just like you and me. Living an ordinary life. Yet, something that she did, touched the heart of God so much that God honored her with all of the above!!!

“And Boaz answered and said to her, “It has been fully reported to me, all that you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, and how you have left your father and your mother and the land of your birth, and have come to a people whom you did not know before.

The LORD repay your work, and a full reward be given you by the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge.” Ruth 2:11,12

The firm determination of this woman Ruth to cling to her mom-in-law, forsaking the natural desires of her heart to be with her father and mother and the land of her birth, is what touched the heart of God, I believe. Now, that’s pretty drastic!!!

I still remember the words of my pastor which he said almost 3 years ago. He said in his crude Indian accent, “If you manage to touch the heart of God no…….. man, I tell you that’s enough”!!! And Ruth… did it!!!

How Great is the reward to the woman who sacrifices her pleasures to build relationships with a people she has not known before!!!

Be blessed,

Have a Fabulous day!!!
