“Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.” Matthew 8:8

How did the Centurion have such an incredible revelation of the POWER in the Word of God that even Jesus marveled at his faith? Clearly flesh and blood had not given him that understanding, but it came to Him from the Father above! He was the first to have understood that Jesus’ WORDS had power! Today, millions have drawn faith from the faith of the Centurion, that God’s WORD carries power!

“For she said to herself, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.” Matthew 9:21

Another incredible precedent of healing, was this woman who was suffering for twelve years due to her health condition. Nobody had the revelation about the anointing that rested upon the garment of Jesus. This woman was the first to have such a revelation. Faith comes by hearing God’s Word. She must have pondered God’s mighty miracles of old, night and day! She perhaps came to the conclusion that if Elijah’s garment could split the flowing river into two (2 Kings 2:14) then surely Jesus’ garment could do much more for her, than that of Elijah’s! 

Aren’t we thankful to hungry hearts who draw revelation from God, that many more hungry souls may be filled?

Meditate on the Word day and night. The LIFE that the Word brings is incomprehensible!
