“And the LORD preserved David wherever He went.” 1 Chronicles 18:6,13

David was the greatest King Israel ever had. He is honored and looked up to, by the people of Israel until this very day! During his lifetime, David fought several battles. He has left us with some words of encouragement and hope which I think we desperately need for the times you and I are living in, today!

Despite the strong army that David had, it was not the skill of his hands, or the strength of his horsemen or the size of his army that preserved David in his battles.

In 1 Chronicles 12:22, we read thus: “Day after day men came to help David, until he had a great army, like the army of God.”

Quite evidently, David’s army was like no other army! But despite it’s great glory, it was NOT his army (mighty men of valor) that preserved David. It was simply the presence of the LORD of Hosts, at His right hand, that preserved him!

“because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.” Psalm 16:8

The LORD of Hosts who was with David, who was with Joshua, who was with Elijah is with you and He is with me! That is the ONLY reason, we are preserved each and every single day!! There is simply no other reason.

“If God be for us who can be against us.” Romans 8:31
