There have been many a times in my life, when I’ve looked up to someone, only to realize sooner or later that he/she is not as perfect as I thought of them to be! I walk away, disappointed! I wouldn’t have gone past few hours that I myself said something crazy or did something stupid and here I am saying, “God, please forgive me, I’ve stumbled again!”

Here’s truth as it is. Every one of us, are ‘work in progress’. While we all strive hard to be perfect in God’s eyes, none of us have attained perfection completely. And to expect that degree of perfection from a fellow believer is also equally silly.

Our Father in heaven is a Master in working out His beautiful character in each of us in different ways. The way he works with me, may not be the same way he may work with you. But one thing we can be sure of! JESUS IS WORKING! He is working in every one of our lives, to make us like gold, that we can shine like the stars forever and ever, all around His awesome throne! We can always trust the loving hands of our gentle Father.

“Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.” Philippians 3:12

If Paul said that he has not yet been perfected, how much more, then you and I? Here’s an old little Sunday school song that has been playing in my head. 🙂

“He’s still working on me, to make me what i have to be; It took him just a week to make the moon and stars, the Sun and the Earth and Jupiter and Mars; How loving and patient he must be, Coz’ he’s still working on me!”

Isn’t our God good! He is ‘OUR FATHER’ in Heaven!
