Last week our team met for a casual dinner at Sybergs! Long overdue!
We were munching on some goodies and chatting. One of my friends in my team is retired military. She was giving us story after story of one of her friends in her unit named George! One story in particular that she shared about George got us all laughing so hard, so I thought I’d share it with you!!
George was one of a kind! My friend kept saying, “I always wondered how George got this far in the unit”!!! Well, here goes…
George was fairly new to the unit just like the rest of them, and was beginning to learn how things worked there. One morning, his commander told George that it was his turn to give the “Star report.” Now, George didn’t know what a “Star report” was. My friend said that it was a report that you’d have to turn in, to your 3 star general about the situation of the day and so on and so forth. George being naive asked one of his friends, what a Star report was. His friend, wanting to play around, with a straight face told him, “Well it’s nothing, you gotta look at the skies and see the formation of the stars and report it!”
George took his orders seriously!! That night, George walked outside, looked at the stars and called his 3 star general and said, “Sir! George here with the Star report Sir! I looked at the skies tonight. I see the Big Dipper Sir, but that’s about it! Nothing else, Sir! 👨✈️
I’m not exactly sure what the 3 star general responded, but my friend said she was surprised that he wasn’t fired!!! 😂😂
Another one. I read this in a book last week. It’s about the “Clueless Husband Shopping squad”!! 😛
A fellow came home from the grocery store with one carton of eggs, two sacks of flour, three boxes of cake mix, four sacks of sugar and five cans of cake frosting! His wife looked at the sacks of groceries and lamented, “I never should have numbered the list.” 😛
Stay happy and Have a great weekend!
