In Christian homes, when someone’s life on earth is over, we say “He went home to be with the Lord”. I’m not sure how often we pause to think about the weightage of that phrase. I was thinking about that today.

Yesterday, a dear, dear uncle went home to be with Jesus. I was imagining what it must have been like for him to have stepped into the Kingdom of God. Angels must have escorted him into the presence of Jesus whom he loved. All his pain is forever gone, all his earthly sorrows are forever wiped away. From now on he will be rejoicing with the saints who have gone before him and each of them are perhaps joyfully sharing their testimonies with Uncle and Uncle is probably doing the same. The Bible describes it this way:

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21:4

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come! 2 Corinthians 5:17

So the redeemed of the LORD will return and enter Zion with singing, crowned with everlasting joy. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee. Isaiah 51:11

What a day that would be!!! It makes every day we live here on earth, WORTH IT. It makes every tribulation we bear for his name, WORTH IT. It makes every heartache we carry in our heart WORTH IT. Every effort to fight against sin, is WORTH IT!

If you do not know JESUS as your personal Savior ( YOU are very very precious to JESUS, that he died for your sins ), get down on your knees and look up to God and ask this question: “God, if you are REAL, What is your name?”

God will reveal himself to you.

“For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people.” 1 Timothy 2:6
