Three women brought spices very early in the morning, so that they might anoint Jesus’ body. Needless to say, they must have walked to the tomb with much tears. Maybe the women wanted to see Jesus, for just one last time.

Anytime when women seek the Lord with tears, God always sends them back with songs of Joy! When Queen Esther sought the Lord with weeping and fasting for her people, God gave the children of Israel a mighty deliverance and filled their hearts with Joy ( Esther 8:16). When Naomi wept in bitter distress, God gave her the joy of raising Obed, who was King David’s father (Ruth 4:17).

And the women who went seeking Jesus in the tomb were no different! The women went to the tomb weeping, but God sent them back rejoicing with the greatest news History has ever heard! The one who was dead, is ALIVE FOREVERMORE!

O’ Woman of God! Our Lord and King 👑 Christ Jesus is alive forevermore! May God turn all your tears of pain into songs of Joy!
