A quick backdrop of the song:

My great grandfather Mr Samuel Devairakkam was a man who walked with God back in his day. In 1949 God called him to start a magazine ministry. My parents, uncles and aunts have told me that it was not an easy thing to start a ministry just like that, and especially during that time when Christian magazines in the Tamil language was extremely rare. Nevertheless Periya thatha ( Great Grandpa) obeyed the Lords call and set out his foot in faith.

Long story short Puthuyir magazine was in circulation all across Tamil Nadu and even few parts of Srilanka back then.

By the grace of God alone, the magazine has now completed 75 years of ministry.

In lieu of that we thought we’ll do a special song as a family! And so we did! Here below is the link and also a picture of Periya thatha with his great grandkids! 🙂
