Daddy sings Bass!!!

Currently, ‘All to Jesus I surrender’, arranged (in 5 parts) by my chittappa, Joshua Chelliah, is the favorite song that keeps running over and over in our car!!! It is kinda a slow hymn, but as soon as we get in the car, Jaden wants, “thatha paatu.” 😀 My son and I thouroughly enjoy the intricate harmony that rings from the song!!! I think Jeev has had enough of it. 🙂 The other day I was just chumma showing off saying “If Harmonics come to the US, they will pose a tight competition to some of the best gospel groups around here… ” He thought for a couple of seconds and said…. “Ya, but I really think they have to increase the tempo a bit!!!” 😀

The first time I heard the song…. I was so moved. I could hear my dad amidst the beautiful blend of other voices. I exclaimed to Jeev saying… “Jeev, Daddy…. that’s daddy!!!” He paused…. listened…. and said… “But I can’t hear him…”. And I zapped in a jiffy… “But you don’t know His voice!!!”. Yes… Jeev doesn’t know my daddy’s voice. The voice that I’m quite familiar with. The awesome baritone voice that I grew up listening to. If I cannot recognise his voice…. that would be a shame!!! I know how that voice is when he sings, when he talks, when he is firm, when he cares, oh…. that voice…. my daddy’s voice, I know it… there’s no mistaking… I KNOW IT!!!

Recently I was talking to a friend and she exclaimed… “It’s so cool that you ‘know’ that God spoke to you… and went on to ask how to recognise His voice, coz she had an important decision making to do.” I tried my best to explain to her…. but in the end I just said… “Girl… Pray… pray…… you will just know!!!”

There are several books in the market to teach people “How to recognise God’s voice and so on and so forth…” Nothing wrong in reading those books…. but after all that reading…. if we don’t take the time to sit and pray, we are not going to learn to discern His voice!!!

God is not a respector of persons, says the Bible. Nobody is more special to God than anybody else. WE all have the same access to the Father and His son Jesus, coz we are ALL children of the ALmighty God through His son Christ Jesus. Now, that being the case…. how can some people hear more from God than the others??? The answer is simple…. they spend TIME with God.

Somebody said, Love is spelt as T.I.M. E…. you all must have probably heard it!!! The only way to learn to recognise the voice of God is to sit at the feet of your maker…. Talk to Him… and He will indeed talk to you. He is your…. our Daddy and there is no greater pleasure for Him than to talk to you, strengthen you and give you a bright and a beautiful future. And before you know it…. you too will be jumping, saying… “God said this to me..”.. and yay…. What a joy to hear the voice of the Almighty God….. our Daddy!!! 🙂

“Come near to God and he will come near to you.” James 4:8

Pic below…. One of my favorite favorite pictures!!!! I hope God has a copy of this pic in heaven…. 😉 I’m sitting on my chittappa’s lap and Daddy sitting beside…

Fantastic year ahead folks!!! 🙂
