Two little stories, one little theme!!!

It’s interesting to recollect what God has done in our lives, but it is even more amazing to see the goodness of God in the lives of others who trust in Him. King David observed this and has recorded it in various places… One such statement that he made due to His wonder and amazement at the goodness of God is this:

“I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.” Psalm 37:25.

I am young and as the days go by, I only get younger. 😉 And I have learned somethings as well. Just little nuggets of thoughts…. just thought I’ll share it with you guys!!!

I’ve got a friend by the name Jaya. She is a Hindu convert. Strong in the faith, loves Jesus. Her parents, still Hindus. She was kind of getting along in years and her hearts desire was to marry a Christian. Days, months and years were rolling by and all the proposals that her parents were bringing in, were Hindu guys. We’ve got a small little prayer group where we regularly meet for prayer and we kept praying for her, asking the Lord to bring the guy soon, as it was already getting late. And we sometimes even counseled her to settle her mind for a Hindu guy, and maybe the Lord will touch the boy thru her, later in life. She was a bit hesitant but was totally open to anything that the Lord wanted for her!!! Her heart leaned only towards Jesus and kept praying for His will consistently. After almost a year of prayer and her consistent faithfulness to yield to the will of God, (I have seen it first hand folks!) the LORD brought her a wonderful Christian man, just as her heart desired!!! God is so good, Isn’t He?? He cherishes His children and when He sees a heart that is yielded to His will, He delights to satisfy that heart with His best. And trust me, there is nothing that is better than His best!!!

My Mother-in-law is one Amazing person!!! She is kinda upfront about things, a very determined personality, strong in Her faith, and an extreme workaholic!!! She does not sit down for 5 minutes… she is constantly working (at home)… and truly I have felt very ashamed of myself. At this age she spins like a wheel and me… don’t even ask!!! She’s got two loving boys who love her dearly. My husband is the second born and my husband has an older brother who is the first born. My MIL had a small little strange desire for her boys: that her First born should marry a second born girl and that her second born (my husband) should marry a first born girl. And you know what, the Lord granted that little desire that my MIL had and till this day, she tells us of the way that God granted the ‘small little’ desire of her heart!!! It may sound silly to even her boys ….. but what amazed me was that it didn’t sound silly to GOD!!!! God took her little desire seriously!!!! Isn’t that amazing????!!!!! As I told you, she trusts in God for everything and since she delighted in God and His ways, He delighted to give her the desire of her heart!!!

“Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4

We serve a wonderful God who is, in simple words “not a dictator”. No matter what your desires are, if you’ve got a heart that is completely yielded to Him, rest assured, He will make things beautiful in His time!!! Coz every child matters Greatly to the Father!!!

“Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.” Psalm 107:8,9
