This one ‘HAD’ to go on my blog. I was thrilled listening to this testimony!!!!!
My Mom goes to a prayer group where all mothers join together for a time of fellowship and prayer, every week. Viji aunty, my mom’s close pal shared this incident with her n’ my Mom shared this to me. And I want to share it with you guys, coz I know this will brighten your day!!!
The wedding of a young man who is a missionary was being arranged. The girl apparently was also from a missionary family and both families were financially poor. So the bride and the groom made a decision saying that “If God would give them the thaali (mangalsutra), they would tie it or else they would just have exchanging of vows for the wedding.” So saying, they waited… and waited in faith, believing that God would give them the thaali. (To my American friends: Thaali is an integral part of the Indian Weddings, something like a wedding ring, but worn like a chain, usually made of solid gold and is very expensive)
Days passed and months rolled by and the day of the wedding came. And still, there is no thaali.
On the day of the wedding, my Mom’s friend Viji aunty gets a call from Chitra aunty saying that she had made an extra thaali at the time of her daughters wedding and she would like to give it to some poor needy family. Casually, Viji aunty calls Rani aunty who is close with the missionaries and their families. And Rani aunty shoots saying that there was wedding the very same day and that she will get back to her after calling them.
Rani aunty calls the grooms family and ask them if they need a thaali!!! Imagine the thrill of the family!!! Chitra aunty’s address was given and and the thaali was collected at 12:00 noon, n’ the wedding was conducted at 4:00pm as per schedule, with the God-given thaali!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just four hours before the Wedding!!!
Woah!!!! What a timing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! N’ What a Faith!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can bank 100 percent on God’s timing. Many a times we get so discouraged coz’ we imagine that God would work at a certain time and when things don’t happen the way we expected or at the ‘time’ we expected, we get MAD!!!
For most daughters their daddies are their heroes, n I’m no exception. I can never imagine my dad leading me to a place of destruction. His hands, right from the time that I came into this beautiful world, has cared for me, provided for me, loved me and nurtured me, only for MY GOOD!!! HOW MUCH MORE THE HANDS OF THE LIVING GOD!!! He knows the perfect time for every event in your life!!!
Lean on Him n Have a fantastic day!!!
