John 2 records Jesus’ first miracle. I happened to read it yesterday and was awe-struck at the combination of God’s simplicity and Majesty, both at the same time!
I love weddings. 🙂 Love to attend one, love to get dressed up for one, love to have fun just catching up with all the family!! Ah! What Galatta and Fun!!! And Jesus was there at one such occasion to join in the fun along with His disciples, n’ what made this wedding even more memorable, was that Jesus performed His first miracle of turning water into wine, right there!!
Long story short, the hosting family was running short of wine. Wine in the Bible is always used as a symbolism for abundance/divine blessing. And if Jesus is invited to a place, there is NO room for lack, only overflowing abundance.
“…I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10
Wherever you see lack or shortage in your life, be quick to invite Jesus there. Don’t waste time fixing the lack by yourself. The wine that was served before was just as normal and usual as every other wine. Nothing special about it.
But the wine that God served had the touch of God…. and the guest exclaimed… “but you have saved the best till now” John 2:10. The world can also give abundance…. but the abundance that God gives, is A CLASS APART. Nothing can compare to it…. and No ‘man’ can produce like what God’s hands can produce.
‘Perhaps God has saved the best till now’, JUST for you! But have you invited Jesus in, to recieve the blessing from His hands?
The festive spirit is already in the air….. and the Red and Green and Gold popping up in every mall, great and small!! Enjoy this beautiful, wintry season of Christmas. And….. always remember …. Jesus is the reason for the season!

Have a blast…. Have a fantastic December!!! 🙂
