“I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’ ” Isaiah 46:10
At a ladies fellowship that I went to, last Saturday this phrase captured me and has refused to leave me. If you don’t take anything out of this post, I pray that you will take atleast this one phrase with you: “With God you don’t have a monologue, you have a DIALOGUE”. And that makes the journey with God, pleasurable.
When I was a new Christian, my mom always said, “the Lord showed this to me today”, or “the Lord told me this today” and so forth. It got me so annoying that I told God, “Lord you are just saying way too many things to mummy, why are you not talking to me?” But somewhere deep down I believed, whether God spoke to me or not, it still didn’t change the fact that He was God, and He still loved me. So I still kept going to him in Worship, though I heard not a hush of His voice.
A year later I went to Bangalore to do my masters. I was away from Home and the Bible became my closest family/friend. I needed direction from God very badly at that point of time. And I was desperate to hear from God. And God began speaking to my heart during those days. And it was there in that little hostel called Nazareth Convent, in that corner Room No 18, began a journey with my Maker, my GOD.
This month Jeev n I will be married 5 years and looking back, my heart is just overwhelmed by the Faithfulness of God. God has fulfilled every word that He spoke to me in that hostel room, 6 years back. I mean, to the very DOT!!! It sure did seem vague then. Things didn’t look very promising to me. But God kept assuring and re-assuring that all will be well and to simply TRUST HIM. And God gave me the grace and the ability to TRUST HIM. And When I did, I surely saw the glory of God unveiled so beautifully that I just know that I know, that no matter what storms may come in my Life, Jesus is there, and when the storm is gone, the Sun will shine brighter than ever before.
Jeev n I at Venice, 2008. 🙂
Have a fantabulous month ahead!!!!
